Once again…my alltime favorite for sunday coffee klatsch:

Carrot Cake. Can`t hardly wait…

…now only my lovely 50`s dishes need to show up (either the house is too big …or maybe I need to get more organized *sigh*)

What you can make from dandelion

The still closed young buds (capers) can be sauted with butter and a hint of salt – nice as a starter

and the ultimate (…well at least it´s said to be…) digestif :

made only from the flowers and heaps of sugar…

dandelion-syrup!

– nice over icecream or stirred in a hot cup of tea  but…

my very own (and candid) expert at home. the connoisseur of fine food and drink, my daughter no.1 thinks just pure is where it comes into its own:

friday deliciousness… homemade bread

I haven´t made a homemade bread for years… so this was basically a test and came out pretty good – looks, smell and taste …delicious!

freshly baked bread, made with a special backing ferment ( instead of sourdough) and baked in a roemertopf (clay pot) for shape.

 

best served slighty warm with plain butter…mouthwatering!
